Argentina’s retail sales rose 16.1% year-on-year in December 2025 to ARS 875,044.4 million, decelerating from a 17.3% increase in November. At current prices, the strongest gains were recorded in patio de comidas, alimentos y kioscos (34.9%), amoblamientos, decoración y textiles para el hogar (34.8%), librería y papelería (23.5%) and juguetería (16.0%). Sales in the City of Buenos Aires grew 18.9% to ARS 266,884.0 million, while Greater Buenos Aires posted a 12.8% rise to ARS 287,200.2 million. At constant prices, however, retail sales fell 2.4% year-on-year to ARS 10,009.5 million.

Argentina Retail Sales Growth Slows in December

The FTSE MIB Index went up by 463 points or 0.99 percent on Wednesday to close at 47114 points. The rise was led by Mediobanca (4.44%), Finecobank (4.44%) and Nexi (4.16%). On the downside, the weakerst performers were Davide Campari-Milano (-5.02%), Leonardo SpA (-3.58%) and Stellantis N.V. (-1.34%).

The FTSE MIB Index Closes 0.99% Higher

The DAX Index rose 165 points or 0.66 percent on Wednesday to close at 25151 points. Leading the gains are Commerzbank (4.69%), E.ON (3.44%) and RWE (2.92%). Top losers were Beiersdorf (-3.28%), Rheinmetall (-2.76%) and Brenntag (-2.37%).
