The Chef Yen has been sitting in a consolidated pahse for a number of weeks now with numerous tests of support and resistance occuring within the range.

It has in effect shifted itself up from a similar sized range earlier on.

I am looking for price to reach the trendline providing resitance in the current range.

Using a 200 moving average as another guidline, price is sitting approximatley 35-40 pips away from the 200 MA giving a secondary support line beyond the 116.250 price level.

CHFJPY Long

New lockdowns kicking in for multiple countries within europe offer the possability of reduced economic activity in the near term through out the easter period. 

Also, ECB stimulus releif is still only trickling out at a reduced compacity to those industries that are struggling, namely hospitallity and tourism sectors are the first to come to mind.

In terms of the Daily chart I have had these trend lines in place as guidnlines for a number of weeks and given the sentiment towards europes lockdowns, I feel that price is currently sitting near a a good source of resistance to put a stop behind.

I am aiming to reach the next guiding trendline down.

On an hourly chart and using simple moving averages a crossover fo the 50 and 200 has occured with remaining regression averages all pointing south.

STOXX50 Short

Resitsance pattern is presenting itself in price and is looking close to reaching the neckline for an entry.

The NASDAQ and most other US equities suffered off the news that Europe would be entering new lockdowns pushing the rotation back into lockdown stocks again.

While I hope for a quick recovery and expect sentiment to change again in the next few days, the impacts have been pronounced so far.

I am looking for a 100% pricemovment abaove the neckline though depending on sentimnet changes I may cut it off early.

NAS100 Long

Price has been sitting in a sideways range for a several days in a row now, and has failed to break or push through its most recent lows, instead creating marginally higher lows, all within a long term uptrend, it is giving me more confidence that this is a rest point for the pound.

Tonight we will be hearing from the Bank of Englands Governor he is expected to be dovish on the economy.

Despite the poor economic data amd expectation for the unemployment rate to rise by 0.1%, the prospects for a more valuable sterling are on the high side. vaccination rollouts are going smoothly in the UK and lockdown restrictions are easing, giving ample in the way for potentially a quick rebound.

The caveat to this is the currently strengthening US dollar, but against the Euro the sterling should trump so 2 postions could be considered off this line of thought.

GBPUSD Long

In my previous trade post i went into some detail about the inflation cycle and the prospect of Australian banks being able to churn more revenue due to higher rates which will be explored down the track.

in this current phase i am simply bolstering my positions with a pyramiding method to grow my current holdings in Australian Banks. 

in ANZ's case from a technical perspective, price is nearing a long term support line in a n uptrend which provides a reasonable place of entry that allows a tight stop placment. 

As for a target i am aiming for price to match and reach the previous swing high in the $29 range, at least for the moment, though i do anticipate price to go further over a mutch longer term view.

ANZ Long

I have been long on Australian banking institutions for well over 6 months and am currently holding positions in NAB, Westpac, and ANZ.

From a fundamnetal perspective and considering the current concerns surrounding bond yields and inflation, banks a posied to take advantage of rising inflation levels and eventually higher interest rates.

This will support the majority of a banking institutions product lines as higher borrowing costs, influence their pricing for loan provisions directly.

From the technical perspective i am adding to my positions to day on the national Australia Bank (NAB) due price sitting precariously close to its current support line. it provides a reasonable point of entry with a support line just below meaning a stop loss can be kept relativly tight to price.

In terms of aims for the next move up i am lookinjg to match the pre pandemic high in the $27 range.

NAB Long

I'm looking at a counter-trend trade based on support and resistance from a daily chart.

Ideally, once the position reaches take profit, I will look to reverse my position back into the direction of the overarching trend.

I am simply trying to take advantage of the retracement in the short side swing.

EURO Stoxx 50

The current formation in candles is starting to look like a head and shoulders pattern.

It's halfway to the neckline; if it turns out to be an exact pattern, I have set my entry at the neckline with my stop just above the 'head'.

I am looking for at least a 100% price movement from the neckline towards the red horizontal line on the chart.

At this stage, I am waiting for the next 'shoulder' to form and a close below the neck before I enter

EURGBP Short

I am basing my position from technicals on the S&P500.

While the trend lines have not transferred well from the daily to the hour, there are several support points beneath the current price.

A resistance pattern looks to have half-formed, but that is not my main attraction.

On a daily chart, both regression models and the current local areas of support and resistance offer an opportunity for a long position.

From a fundamental point of view, the financials have been weighing heavy on the S&P from Fridays no extension for banking institutions from the Fed. 

I anticipate that this will settle, and price will resume its up going trend.

SP500 Long

The US treasury has deployed $242b in stimulus cheques to 90 million people today.

Based off this piece of fundamental news I anticipate that we will see retail based businesses see a boost in earnings.

Companies such as Amazon, Costco, Best Buy with an ecommerce pressance or warehouse conversion are likley to be the main beneficieries.

Other areas of interest that i have are in US listed brokerages, who may very well see a bump in account deposits the likes of Robin hood, Think or swim/e*trade will potentially see their parent finacial insitutions increase revenue.

Amazon - Long

I am long on the ASX200 today, Improvements in Australian labor conditions harbour good expectations for business employment and productivity numbers to grow resulting in higher revenues.

Support from the 200 MA exist in addition to the 6750 price point.

Ideally i would like to see price reach 6850 over the next week as markets digest the improvements to the labour force.

AUS200 - ASX200 - Long

AUDUSD Reversal pattern has formed off the basis of the FED discussions in the over night and now positive results for the australian employment scenario.

I am looking for price to retest its 80c range before the RBA steps in...again.

I am basing most of this trade off the technicals, support from 50 and 200 MAs are below price, as well as the 78c support.

Should the position push past 78500 then i will begin trailing my stop up.
